I took my Prius to a different automotive shop in January 2022 because the engine needed to be replaced and my family knows the owner and used the shop in the past. They had my car for months and when I finally got it back, there was an engine light on (indicating an issue with the gas line) and they told me they had no clue why it was there because they didn’t touch anything related to it. I drove the car for a couple of months until the gas problems became too inconvenient and I was at a point where I could leave my car for the indefinite amount of time it would no doubt take at the shop. This was in March 2023. They told us a few times that they would “get to it” when we asked for updates which became very frustrating when five months went by with no progress. We finally made the decision to ask for the car back to get it towed to Automotive Excellence. Automotive Excellence is an absolutely incredible shop. We explained the situation over the phone and right away, they had some ideas about why my car was messed up. We got the car towed over from the first shop and they had it for less than 24 hours total. They kept us constantly updated and fixed the problem entirely (turns out the other shop put some wiring back wrong and left one thing completely unconnected when they replaced my engine). The customer service was fantastic, the technicians clearly know what they’re doing, and I was blown away by the amazing experience. My car drives smoother and quieter than after the engine was replaced and I was finally able to fill up my gas tank the way that I could almost two years ago. Automotive Excellence has earned my loyalty and respect and I will go to them for any mechanical needs in the future. I absolutely recommend the shop and will tell everyone I know to go there. I brought my car in because it was making a ticking sound and within 2 hours they had the issue figured out. Darlene made it the easiest and most enjoyable experience I’ve ever had at an automotive shop. Her communication was phenomenal. Not only did they figure the issue out fast but I added things on I wanted replaced while there and they had the car all said and done the next day. The prices were very fair for the work that was done. I highly recommend automotive excellence for any automotive repairs

Once again AUTOMOTIVE EXCELLENCE has come through! My son was down in the Bay area visiting from school up at Sonoma State University. As we were driving in his CRV, I noticed a grinding sound coming from his brakes. At the time, I couldn't determine the issue. Checked the pads they and they looked okay/good. He needed to get back to school. I was confident he could make it back. I was Once again due to time and logistics I was in a bind. Then I remembered AUTOMOTIVE EXCELLENCE. Once again I talked with Terri. I explained the situation. I told her what thought the problem was, but I was not 100% sure. She assured me the she'll take care it. She stated the first thing there going to do is inspect all the brakes, then we will go from there. That was a Tuesday, scheduled for Thursday 8am (at my request). I received a phone call before noon with an update from a nice lady.(sorry i can't remember her name) She informed me the mechanic said all the brakes were fine, has 40% left on pads. The issue is a misaligned shim that was touching the rotor. Had fixed/adjusted shim right after lunch. Dave and Terri, you have a great team and once again I can't say enough about AUTOMOTIVE EXCELLENCE! You actually had me thinking of bringing my other vehicles up to you from the Bay Area! I am exceptionally happy with the team at Automotive Excellence! I was happy with the oil change as well as the photos you texted me on the oil change and status. Per your recommendation, I did get 2 new front tires. They're actually on the rear. Because my rear tires were still good. Non the less I followed your recommendation on replacing them.
