We recently moved to Sonoma county and, after six years of frustrating dealer servicing of my Land Cruiser in San Francisco, I was determined to find an alternative to dealerships. And what a find! From booking an appointment to bringing it in and picking it back up, the experience was flawless: Knowledgeable front office, thorough explanations, phone updates on any concerns and on the progress of work, and no pressure for unnecessary work. The charges were fair, less than I expected, and far less than a dealership. They have quickly earned my confidence and loyalty. Finally, when I picked up the car, a surprise: it was washed--no small feat, since it was covered in red Arizona mud.

Automotive excellence does it again! They’re service is beyond excellent! Always quick at finding the problem, and they are so good at providing customers with all the details of what they find. They even went above and beyond to search for a recall on my car. My second time using them and i will continue to do so as my first choice! Thank you again.

We did a lot of research to find a new auto service shop. We are very happy to have find Automotive Excellence in Rohnert Park. We were welcomed in and given a complete estimate on what was needed and it was complete explained. We were called about two additional services that needed attention and were given a fair and honest price for those services along with the everything else. Jon, at the front desk, is knowledgeable and courteous; best person to have at the front desk! The mechanics, Dave and Kevin, are excellent! I have two Hondas and have been going to Rohnert Park for their service since 2009. They offer a loaner car or a ride, if you need them. They are totally reliable, honest, and reasonable. I highly recommend them.

A common definition of integrity is to do the right thing when no one is watching - and this is really true with AE. Mike and his team have this down. They do excellent work and they only recommend the work you actually need. I have had two recent experiences with them that highlight this - our car was stalling out and we had a # of theories. Embarrassing and true we had run out of oil, and Mike found the problem and charged me for an oil change. Next we needed brake work - I took it to another spot and they wanted $1,300 - four new pads and new rotors. AE machined the front rotors and put new pads on upfront. The back was still fine and did not need anything yet. My bill, $311 out the door. It's really good to see someone build their business on being honest, helpful and reliable. You can refer people here and know they will be treated right, independent of how much they know about cars.

Fast service, reasonable prices and personable. Took the time to explain things. Didn't try to sell me things I didn't need. Would highly recommend.

I first went to Automotive Excellence with a check engine light on. They checked it out for free and reset it. It didn't come back on. But they were so helpful and friendly that I took it back there for service. They went the extra mile with the service. They greased the doors and door handles and saved me money on the oil change and caught that my battery was dying. I swear my car was even happier after taking it to Automotive Excellence.
